The Gers halved the deficit just past the hour mark when Martyn Waghorn found the net, but Rangers failed to find the equaliser.
Aberdeen ended the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of Jayden Stockley in the 90th minute.
Rangers boss Caixinha and Aberdeen manager McInnes exchanged words after the match, with the former revealing what was said between the duo.
“I was just saluting him and saying I didn’t understand the reason why he invited me to be received in his office and didn’t show up at the previous match,” Caixinha told The Scottish Sun.
“So I said that if you didn’t show up in the previous match, you are definitely not welcome to come to my office. It is a question of respect. If I am not being respected then, please, don’t show up.
“If he didn’t show up and I waited more than 15 minutes, what do you call that? What do you call that?”
Aberdeen are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 73 points from 37 matches, while Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers are currently third in the standings with 64 points from 37 games.
