Glasgow Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha speaks highly of Graham Dorrans, who joined the Ibrox club in the summer transfer window.
Dorrans joined Scottish Premiership club Rangers from Norwich City in the Championship in England in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old has arrived at Ibrox with a strong reputation and is expected to be a key player for the Gers this season, as they attempt to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
The former Livingston and West Bromwich Albion midfielder has made a strong start to his Rangers career, and his performances so far have been hugely encouraging.
Dorrans has earned just 12 caps for the Scotland national football team so far, his last appearance coming two years ago, and Rangers manager Caixinha has backed the midfielder to play more matches for his country, and has also hailed his quality and calibre.
“I am not surprised that he hasn’t got more caps,” Caixinha told The Scottish Sun about Dorrans. “It’s not my issue and not my work.
“But I expect from now on he could get that opportunity. He is a Scottish player, a great player, very professional and he’s a great guy too.
“Being closer to those who analyse and make the decisions will help him. If he continues to do well then I think he will have his chance and I hope that he does.
“Technically he is one of the best. He has great vision and also a great understanding of the game. He’s a clever boy.
“You don’t need to tell him what you want from him. He will find the spaces we need and he knows how I want the team to perform.”
Rangers will take on Hibernian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
