Glasgow Rangers take on Motherwell this weekend with the Ibrox side looking to reach the Scottish League Cup final.

Pedro Caixinha has told Rangers’ official YouTube channel that he does not want to answer anymore questions regarding Kenny Miller when he was asked about the veteran striker’s agent’s recent comments and whether the 37-year-old will be in the Gers squad for Sunday’s Scottish League Cup semi-final.
Miller has endured a difficult spell at Ibrox lately. The Daily Record recently reported that he was dropped from the first-team and told to train with the under-20s around the same time that Caixinha alluded to a dressing room mole following their Old Firm defeat.

Though Miller has since returned to the first-team fold, the Record reports that the supposed injury that ruled him out of the win over St Johnstone last week has been refuted by sources close to the striker, and BBC Sport reports that his agent has taken to social media to suggest that Miller’s reputation has been unfairly tarnished.
And ahead of the semi-final, Caixinha clearly did not feel that he wanted to respond to claims made by Miller’s agent, and would not provide even a vague answer regarding whether the forward would be involved in the squad at Hampden Park.

“Period,” he added, when asked whether Miller will be in the squad this Sunday.
“Period in Portuguese means ponto finale, which means finish, no more further questions,” he went on to say as another question about Miller was being asked.
While Caixinha may have perhaps decided to not answer any questions about Miller to avoid follow up questions, the fact that he tried to take an evasive stance when simply asked whether the forward will be in the semi-final squad – though it could certainly be argued that his answer did provide a strong hint as to what his plans involve – means that it would surely be no surprise if the Gers’ matchday squad this Sunday does not include the forward.
