Rangers boss Murty’s comments about Morelos are encouraging

Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, an important player for Graeme Murty’s Gers, has been linked with a move away from Ibrox.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has told The Daily Record that Alfredo Morelos has been fantastic in training and is focused on the task at hand amid speculation over his future.

According to The Daily Record, Rangers have turned down a bid of £7.5 million from Chinese club Beijing Renhe for the 21-year-old striker.

It has also been reported that the Gers will offer the 2017 summer signing a new contract that will see his wages rise from £7000 per week.

Rangers manager Murty has praised Morelos’s attitude in training amid speculation over his future.

Murty told The Daily Record: “He scored a hat-trick in training, he was crowing about that a little bit. He’s been good.

“As much as there’s been speculation in the papers, he’s been fantastic. He’s been focused on what he’s got to do.”

Encouraging for Rangers

Morelos is one of the best young strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in the current Rangers team.

Murty’s comments are very encouraging, as they suggest that the 21-year-old Colombian is very much committed to the Gers, and that he is ready to do his best on the football pitch.
