Rangers lost 4-0 in a friendly with RB Leipzig on Sunday afternoon.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told the Daily Mail that he was impressed with the performances of debutants Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman in Sunday’s 4-0 friendly defeat to RB Leipzig.
The Gers haven’t played a competitive game since losing 2-1 to Celtic on New Year’s Eve, and subsequently travelled to Germany for a friendly with RB Leipzig to keep themselves fit ahead of next weekend’s game against Motherwell.

RB Leipzig have been impressing in the Bundesliga though, and it was clear why they’re just three points behind Bayern Munich in the race for the title as they hammered Rangers at the Red Bull Arena.
Timo Werner struck RB Leipzig in front before Scot Oliver Burke added a second, with Rangers being caught out on the counter attack too regularly, with Yussuf Poulsen adding two second half goals to seal a 4-0 win.
Whilst the result was disappointing, Rangers got a valuable run out, and were able to hand debuts to new signings Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman, with Toral being robbed of a first goal for the club for offside.

Toral has arrived from Arsenal and started the game, whilst Hyndman – who has joined from Bournemouth – came on as a substitute at half time, with both youngsters, who are on loan until the end of the season, looking to make an impact at Ibrox.
After the final whistle, manager Mark Warburton spoke to the Daily Mail about the game, and praised both Toral and Hyndman for getting out on the pitch after a whirlwind week for the duo.
Warburton felt that Toral showed real quality and technical ability, whilst he praised Hyndman for playing well having been thrown into a tough game.
“I think it was good for the new boys,” said Warburton. “They have had a whirlwind week. They have signed for the club, moved house, brought family from Spain and moving from Bournemouth.”
“It was good to get them pitch time. Jon Toral showed his quality in the first half. He is a very tidy, technical player on the ball. Emerson came in for the second half. It was a tough game to come into but he did well,” he added.
