Clint Hill and Danny Wilson have been the pairing that Glasgow Rangers boss Warburton has selected in recent games.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has insisted to the club’s official website that Philippe Senderos and Rob Kiernan have responded in the perfect manner after they fell out of favour in the first-team.
Following the heavy defeat in the Old Firm clash, Warburton has stuck with the pairing of Clint Hill and Danny Wilson at the heart of the defence for the last three games.

And while the boss has been happy with how the current partnership has fared, he admitted that he has also been impressed by how the pair biding their time have reacted in training.
“In defence we could have a variety of starting combinations but the fact is Clint and Danny have done very well,” he told the club’s official website.
“Clint has shown a real resilience to his play and is full of experience while Danny is adapting to being on the right side for us.

“Right now they have the shirt and Rob and Philippe are working their socks off for us to get those shirts, in the right way of course.”
In the three games that Hill and Wilson have played alongside each other, the Gers have conceded just two goals, and have kept two clean sheets.

With one of the goals coming directly from a free-kick while another was arguably the fault of right-back James Tavernier, who misjudged a long ball, it appears that Hill and Wilson are starting to form a promising understanding.
And with Senderos and Kiernan struggling in the Old Firm game – the former was sent off in the contest while the latter made a couple of costly mistakes – it appears that they will have to work even harder if they hope to move themselves back up the pecking order.
