Mark Warburton has insisted that he has absolutely no hesitation about the prospect of picking Jordan Rossiter in his starting line-up, the Herald Scotland reports.
The former Liverpool man is one of nine permanent signings that the Gers have made this summer. And while there is an understandable excitement about his potential, Warburton would perhaps be forgiven for taking a cautious approach when it comes to including the 19-year-old – who made his first start for the club in the cup win over Peterhead in midweek – in the side.

Given his lack of experience, it would perhaps hardly be surprising if the likes of Joey Barton, Andy Halliday and Jason Holt were ahead of him in the pecking order for a place in the Light Blues’ midfield.
However, Warburton has quashed such a suggestion by claiming that he has the same confidence in Rossiter to do a job as he does in any other player in his squad.
“He is one of the squad that I would have no hesitation using,” he told Herald Scotland. “He might start Saturday, he might not start Saturday, but you saw on Tuesday, whether we play Joey, Andy, Jordan or Matt Crooks when he is fit, it doesn’t bother us.”
“You have got to trust the squad.”
Though he was unable to really prove it at Anfield, the youngster arguably has the talent to become a special player in the future.
And while Warburton will be aware that he is not the finished article yet, he will also know that it is throwing him into high-pressure situations that is going to help him get to that level.
But with the manager insisting that he is confident in the midfielder’s ability, it seems that he will get plenty of opportunities to perfect his game and become the player that many expect him to become.
