Rangers manager Mark Warburton celebrates winning the Scottish Championship
Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told The Glasgow Evening Times what he thinks of the transfer fee that Celtic paid Aston Villa to sign Scott Sinclair in the summer transfer window.
Celtic completed the move for Sinclair from Championship club Villa on a four-year contract earlier this month.
According to The Glasgow Evening Times and The Daily Mail, the Bhoys had to pay a transfer fee of £3.5 million in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old winger.
It is quite a lot of money for a Scottish club to pay for a player, and Rangers boss Warburton has given his thoughts on the transfer fee.

“No, I don’t think it (Sinclair’s £3.5 million fee) is a compliment to Rangers,” Warburton told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“I know Brendan and he would not have gone in there without the reassurance that he can mould the squad as he sees fit. That goes for any managers so I’m not just talking about Brendan.
“Managers at his level need reassurances that they can put their fingerprint or their stamp on the squad. And that’s what I think he’ll do. They’ll look to add one or two more as well, as will we.”

Rangers have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far, signing Joey Barton, Niko Kranjcar, Matt Gilks and Jordan Rossiter among others.
The Gers do not have the spending power of Old Firm rivals Celtic at the moment, but they are still aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
Celtic have also been active in the summer transfer window, signing Moussa Dembele, Kolo Toure and Dorus de Vries as well as Sinclair. The Hoops are favourites to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
