Glasgow Rangers clinched Jamie Murphy’s signing at the weekend.

New Rangers signing Jamie Murphy clinched his move to Ibrox at the weekend, joining on loan until the end of the season.

Murphy leaves English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion, and is a boyhood Rangers fan.
Murty explained how he sought references from his own former teammates who have played alongside Murphy and was left impressed.
He said: “I think it’s great. He is one we identified really early for that left-flank slot.
“He brings a wealth of experience and he’s had glowing endorsements from not only coaching staff and managers, but also players that I’ve played with, that have played with him, in terms of the character that he is, and he was another one who was desperate to come.”

It is this passion for Rangers which could be Murphy’s biggest asset, and turn the signing from a ‘good’ one into a ‘great’ move.
It would be a surprise if Rangers did not take up the permanent option at the end of the loan, but this at least ensures Murphy will be extra determined over the coming months to make his spell at Ibrox a huge success.
