Rangers boss Graeme Murty eyes permanent deal for Sean Goss

Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers signed Sean Goss on loan from Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has suggested to The Scottish Sun that the club are interested in signing Queens Park Rangers-owned Sean Goss on a permanent contract in the summer of 2018.

Goss joined Scottish Premiership club Rangers on loan from QPR in the Championship in England in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old midfielder is scheduled to stay at Ibrox until the end of the season, and Murty has suggested that the Gers would look to make the deal permanent.

Murty told The Scottish Sun: “Sean Goss is one of a number of players we are looking to bring in on a permanent deal.”

“QPR have said: ‘You’re not having him, keep your hands off’,” added Murty. “But football situations like that tend to be quite fluid.”

Good idea?

Goss is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and it would not be a bad idea for Rangers to secure the former Manchester United prospect on a permanent contract in the summer of 2018.

QPR, though, may not be willing to sell the youngster, but perhaps it would come to what the 22-year-old wants.

It would be hard for Goss to establish himself in the QPR first team next season, and maybe he should look at making his loan move to Rangers permanent.
