Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard had high hopes for the winger at Ibrox.

Back in November, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard made a confident and exciting claim about Eros Grezda.
The Albania international had just scored his first two goals since joining the Gers in a £2 million deal last summer [The Daily Record].
Gerrard said: “I have been waiting for this moment, and Eros has been waiting for this moment, and the fans have as well. I think today it arrived. I think you could see today.
“He scored a couple of goals, he had some moments as well, and he can get better. He can improve. There is more to come, and it will come.”
Those last few words are the most interesting, even more so now amid reports that Rangers are about to sell the former Osijek winger.
His agent confirmed on Tuesday [The Daily Record] that Grezda would be ‘leaving the club soon’ and it looks like Gerrard’s prediction about the 24-year-old being a big player for the light Blues will never materialise.
He never scored another goal for Rangers after those two against Motherwell.
Gerrard, who only has one year of senior management under his belt, has gotten a hell of a lot of things right since taking the reins at Ibrox, but it looks like he was horribly wrong about Grezda.
