Steven Gerrard of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers wishes Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths a speedy recovery.

Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has put Old Firm rivalries to one side to wish Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths a swift return to the football pitch.
Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers revealed on Wednesday that Celtic would be without the Scottish hitman for a number of months due to personal reasons.
And the Rangers boss has admitted to The Scottish Sun that he hopes to see the 27-year-old back on the pitch in the very near future.
Gerrard said: “We wish Leigh well and hope to see him back on a football pitch pretty soon. This is sad news.”
It is a nice gesture from the Gers manager and one that those on the other half of the Old Firm divide will appreciate.
Celtic and Rangers are both in action in the Europa League tonight.
Rodgers’s side will advance into the knockout phase of the competition if they avoid defeat to group winners Salzburg at Parkhead.
The Ibrox side have slightly more to do, however.
Rangers have to beat Rapid Wien in Austria if they are to stand any chance of qualifying for the latter phase of the tournament – and what an achievement that would be, considering a Pedro Caixinha-managed Gers failed to progress past the first round of qualifiers 18 months ago.
