Jake Hastie won’t be involved in Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers’ next European tie.

Jake Hastie was warned not to join Rangers.
Back in March, Gers legend Barry Ferguson suggested to PLZ Soccer that the then-Motherwell winger, who spent the first half of last season at Alloa, wasn’t ready for life at Ibrox amid speculation of a transfer.
Nevertheless, Hastie did ultimately sign for Rangers this summer but fast forward a couple of months and Ferguson might’ve been right.
For the second qualifier in a row, the 20-year-old has not been included in Steven Gerrard’s squad for the upcoming Europa League tie with Midtjylland [The Scottish Sun].
The young Scot has only played 58 minutes of competitive football since arriving at Auchenhowie and struggled to make his mark in the 6-0 demolition of St Joseph’s last month.
With Jamie Murphy – who has also been omitted – not quite fit and Eros Grezda seemingly heading for the exit, Hastie had a great chance to stake his claim as being Gerrard’s first or second-choice left-wing option.
But he isn’t in the picture at the moment and this just isn’t the start that he’ll have dreamt of.
