Rangers kick off their Champions League qualifying bid tomorrow night in Sweden when they face Malmo – and Gers boss Steven Gerrard has insisted the Light Blues “have more than enough” despite injuries and suspension leaving him without several key players.

The Light Blues travel to Sweden for the first leg of their third qualifying round tie on the back of a comfortable 3-0 win over Livingston at Ibrox on Saturday as Rangers began their title defence with a bang.

Leon Balogun, Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe are all suspended tomorrow night and Ryan Jack and Ianis Hagi are set to miss out through injury – while Alfredo Morelos’ stint in quarantine means the Colombian is also unlikely to feature.

Gerrard remains confident the Gers can push through though and take a first-leg lead back to Ibrox and see the Light Blues in the driving seat for a place in the playoffs.

“We are used to this sort of schedule, it is the reason why I have built a strong squad as is impossible to ask the same 11 players to go every match,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

“We have a few suspensions and injuries for this match but we have more than enough to put a good team out.”

After leaving a number of key players out against Livingston, Gerrard is likely to bring many of them back into the side tomorrow night as Rangers look to take a step closer to a Champions League windfall.
