Glasgow Rangers defender Nikola Katic struggled in the Europa League clash.

Joe Worrall ended last night as Rangers’ big winner even though he was not picked by Steven Gerrard.
And that’s exactly the point. Worrall has been a scapegoat in recent weeks for his part in the side’s defensive mishaps.
Last night he was well out of it, and completely blameless.
At the heart of Rangers problems was the man fans have been screaming to replace Worrall, defender Nikola Katic.
The arguments in favour were strong, Katic and Connor Goldson had an effective partnership at the start of the season before Worrall was introduced and performances started to dip.

Katic’s performance posed more questions. Was Gerrard right to drop him all along?
Has his confidence been affected by Gerrard leaving him out?
Was this simply the wrong game to be thrown back into after a lack of action recently?
And most poignantly, perhaps Joe Worrall is not so bad after all?
Rangers boss Gerrard has a big decision to make this weekend over who plays against Motherwell at Ibrox.
It could be time for veteran Gareth McAuley to get the nod after coming off the bench for the final minute in Moscow.
