Is this the best side Glasgow Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha can pick based on the players he has at his disposal at Ibrox?

With the summer transfer window now in the past, Rangers fans will be able to debate what their strongest team actually looks like without considering whether the club could make further signings in the near future.

With that in mind, HITC Sport has compiled what we feel is arguably the strongest side available to Caixinha. But if you disagree, feel free to comment with what changes you would make or even suggest your own lineup if one or two changes will not be enough…

Wes Foderingham

There is surely no disputing at this current time that Wes Foderingham is the strongest goalkeeper option available to Caixinha.

James Tavernier

James Tavernier gets the nod ahead of Lee Hodson due to the attacking threat he possesses, which is especially important given how often the Gers go into games as the overwhelming favourites.

Bruno Alves

Bruno Alves is not only an excellent defender, but he is clearly also a crucial leader for the Light Blues and has a wicked free-kick in his locker.

Fabio Cardoso

Fabio Cardoso is threatening to strike up a brilliant partnership with Alves. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be the depth at centre-back for the pair to feel under that much threat.

Lee Wallace

Lee Wallace has been a stalwart at Ibrox for a number of years, and has arguably been a very good captain in recent seasons.

Daniel Candeias

It is arguably on the wings that Rangers are currently lacking depth the most, but Daniel Candeias has done fairly well since arriving in the summer.

Ryan Jack

Ryan Jack has excelled in the middle of the park since arriving from Aberdeen in the summer. It is surely in central midfield where Rangers look the strongest currently.

David Gray (L), of Hibernian is tackled by Graham Dorrans of Rangers during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Hibernian at Ibrox Stadium on August 12, 2017 in...

Graham Dorrans

Of all the summer signings Rangers made, none made quite as quick an impact as Graham Dorrans who scored a brace on his debut against Motherwell.

Josh Windass

Though Josh Windass has generally struggled since arriving last summer, there have been some flashes of brilliance along the way. He has the talent to make a big impact at Ibrox, so he makes this lineup.

Kenny Miller

Another area Rangers arguably need more depth is up front, but Kenny Miller continues to roll back the years with his impressive performances.

Alfredo Morelos

The find of the transfer window appears set to be Alfredo Morelos, who has scored five goals in his last four games in all competitions. He appears to have a frightening amount of potential.
