Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers could have a stunning best XI this season.

Speculation is rife that Rangers are on the brink of an eighth summer signing.
According to Swedish side Aftonbladet, the Gers are set to sign Bologna centre-back Filip Helander in a £4.25 million deal.
It’s an exciting prospect and if Rangers can re-sign Ryan Kent, Steven Gerrard will have a serious best XI and one that’ll surely worry Celtic.
Helander would slot in beside Connor Goldson at centre-back, with James Tavernier and Borna Barisic – who, according to Gerrard, is looking very sharp this summer – in the full-back positions, ahead of the aging-yet-brilliant Allan McGregor.
It’s anyone’s guess who Gerrard will play as a midfield-three, such are the wealth of cracking options available to the Rangers manager, but Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Steven Davis might be the best of the bunch, with Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield and Greg Docherty providing unbelievable depth.
Further forward, Sheyi Ojo, who scored on his competitive debut last night, and Ryan Kent provide stunning wide support for lone striker Alfredo Morelos, who will have the evergreen Jermain Defoe challenging him.
Of course, the move to re-sign Kent on loan isn’t as advanced as Helander seems to be, but this could very well be the XI that Gerrard has available to him this season.
The Gers haven’t won a major trophy since 2011 but, with that kind of talent, surely Gerrard would end that drought come May.
