Rangers attacker Ovie Ejaria is a must start this weekend.

When Rangers signed Ovie Ejaria on loan this summer there were some understandable questions being asked.

He was certainly behind the likes of Dominic Solanke, Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent among Liverpool’s under-23 talent and Steven Gerrard’s decision to focus on bringing him to Ibrox as a priority raised eyebrows.

This was especially the case after a poor loan spell at Sunderland at the end of last season.

Ejaria has now proven already why Steven Gerrard was so keen to sign him.

He has scored in back to back games for the Gers, proving he has the ability to make an impact.

Most importantly he has done what many thought beyond him at this early stage, he has made himself undroppable for Rangers’ first Old Firm game of the season this weekend.

Ejaria is thriving despite his young age and the competition for his place, and his form has meant Josh Windass has not yet been missed.

A strong display against Celtic will enhance Ejaria’s reputation further.

He is full of confidence and while this weekend is the biggest game of his young career, his recent efforts suggest he can pass the test with flying colours.
