Rangers outcast Dalcio has posted a defiant message on Instagram after struggling to have any kind of impact at Ibrox since moving to Glasgow on a season-long loan from Portuguese giants Benfica in the summer.

The 21-year-old has been afforded just 134 minutes of senior action at Rangers this season, featuring in both Europa League qualifiers against Progres Niederkorn and a one-minute sub appearance in the league against Hamilton.

The likes of Daniel Candeias, Niko Kranjcar, Josh Windass and other attacking players have impressed ahead of the youngster, while the signing of Jamie Murphy from Brighton is hardly going to help his cause for first-team football.

But Dalcio has remained defiant by posting a message on Instagram stating that he is not going to give up in his pursuit of game time under Graeme Murty, claiming: “Hard times make me stronger.”

Hard times make me stronger, better to fight for something than live for nothing.

Dalcio almost equalled his season game time during the two matches against Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians in Florida, featuring for the first half in the 1-0 win over Mineiro before playing 83 minutes of the 4-2 victory on Saturday.

He could now be in line for just his fourth competitive appearance for the Gers as Murty takes his side to fifth-tier outfit Fraserburgh on Sunday in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

Changes are expected to be made and Dalcio could be given a run out with Light Blues fans watching on.
