Can Neil Lennon keep Celtic at the top of the pile amid pressure from Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers next season?

Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has admitted to The Glasgow Evening Times that Neil Lennon deserves credit for the job he did with Celtic last season.
The Hoops went on to beat Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title – their eighth in a row – en route to winning a historic treble Treble, reaffirming their status as top dogs in Scotland once again.
Celtic officially hired Lennon on a full-time basis after he led them to Scottish Cup final success over Hearts, with the Northern Irishman originally joining on an interim basis in February following Brendan Rodgers’s shock exit.
The pressure is on Gers boss Steven Gerrard to knock Lennon and their Old Firm rivals off their perch next season in a bid to stop them going within one title of 10-in-a-row.
And although Halliday – whose Rangers side finished nine points behind Celtic – says that Lennon has done a good job at Parkhead, he stresses that he and his light Blues’ team-mates must focus on themselves next year.
“You have to give Neil credit because he came in and got them over the line. The two targets he had since taking over, he achieved it,” he told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“We just have to concentrate on ourselves and try to bridge that points gap again from last season.”
