Glasgow Rangers have announced that Jake Hastie has signed a four-year deal at Ibrox.

Rangers and Motherwell fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Gers announced on their official website that Jake Hastie has completed his move to Ibrox, with the winger signing a four-year deal.
Hastie’s future has been talking point for much of the last few months. He has been outstanding since returning to Well in January after being out on loan.
The 20-year-old has scored seven times since the turn of the year and has been nominated for the PFA Scotland Premiership Young Player of the Year award despite only spending the second-half of the season at Fir Park.
It was widely expected that Hastie would complete a pre-contract move to Rangers. And the club have now confirmed on their official website that he has signed ahead of the summer, with a four-year contract being penned.

Plenty of Gers supporters have expressed their excitement about the deal. Hastie appears to have enormous potential, and on a free transfer, it could be an inspired piece of business in the coming years.
Meanwhile, several Motherwell fans appear to be relieved that they can draw a line under the situation. And perhaps interestingly, they do not seem to be overly disappointed about his imminent departure – though that may be largely down to the fact that his exit has been on the cards for a long time.

Here is what some of the Rangers fans made of the Hastie announcement, which was posted three times on their Twitter account…
