Glasgow Rangers are reportedly closing in on a deal that would see Ryan Kent move to Ibrox permanently.

A number of Rangers and Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after various reports, including one from the Daily Mirror suggested that the Gers have had a £7 million bid for Ryan Kent accepted.
Kent has been linked with a return to Ibrox throughout the summer after a hugely successful first loan spell with the Light Blues last season. However, with the deadline looming, it had appeared that the chances of a return were fading.
In comments reported by the Daily Record, Steven Gerrard had suggested that he had moved on from their pursuit of Kent, while Sky Sports have suggested on their transfer blog (2/9; 13:01) that the winger had held talks with Club Brugge over a move.
But the Daily Mirror is now reporting that a move to Ibrox is close after Rangers had a £7 million bid for the 22-year-old accepted by the Champions League winners.

The news has been met with an extremely positive reaction from fans of both clubs on social media. Liverpool supporters appear to be pleased about getting such a fee for a player who looked to stand little chance of breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Anfield. They have wished him well, and hope that he will be a success for Gerrard’s men.
Meanwhile, the Rangers fans on Twitter are extremely excited about the prospect of Kent coming back and believe that it is the perfect response to yesterday’s defeat to Celtic.
