Rangers and Hibernian fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Glenn Middleton on Saturday afternoon.
Middleton recently joined Hibernian on loan from Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers.
The 19-year-old winger has been on the books of the Gers since January 2018 when he moved to Ibrox after leaving Norwich City in England.
The Scotland Under-21 international was going to struggle for regular playing time in a very competitive Rangers team this season, and playing on loan at Hibernian in the top flight of Scottish football did make sense.
Middleton made his competitive debut for Hibernian on Saturday afternoon, as the talented and promising teenager played against Greenock Morton in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.
The youngster provided an assist, showed some lovely touches, and looked quite sharp, as Paul Heckingbottom’s side won the tie 5-3 after extra time.
Rangers and Hibernian fans were impressed with the display produced by Middleton and have praised him on Twitter.
