Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly want Nick Powell of Wigan Athletic.

Ibrox club Rangers, Celtic, Aston Villa, Stoke City, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion and Derby County all are interested in signing Powell from Wigan, reports TEAMtalk.
The report, though, has claimed that Wigan have rebuffed interest in the 24-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder or as a striker.
The Latics are reportedly confident that they can persuade the former England Under-21 international to sign a new contract this season, with his current deal running out next summer.

Risky
As things stand, Powell will be able to sign pre-contract agreements with Rangers or Celtic in the January transfer window.
If Wigan are unable to persuade the former United man to sign a new deal between now and January, then the Championship club in England could rue their chance to sell the 24-year-old this summer.
