Glasgow Rangers and Celtic target Ali Crawford has failed to prove to the Ibrox side and the Hoops that he was deserving of a move with his form this season.

Back in January, HITC Sport reported that both Rangers and Celtic were interested in Hamilton midfielder Ali Crawford, who had enjoyed an excellent season with that Accies by that stage, and went on to score eight Scottish Premiership goals and contribute four assists.
The move to either of the Old Firm did not take place however, and he remains at Hamilton.

And unfortunately for the 26-year-old, he is yet to prove this term that Rangers or Celtic should have tried harder to land his signature, and his struggles were perhaps best summed up by a disappointing performance against the Gers in the two sides’ last game before the current international break.
Crawford failed to make a similar impact on the game to the one that he made when Hamilton visited Ibrox in the Gers’ first game back at the highest level in 2015 when he scored a fantastic goal to stun the Light Blues, and Pedro Caixinha’s men came away with a 4-1 win.

And unfortunately for the midfielder, his form throughout the campaign so far has provided little indication that he is ready to prove the Old Firm sides wrong.
Crawford has scored one and contributed one assist for a Hamilton side that find themselves four points off the bottom of the table, and with Rangers forming a promising looking midfield over the summer and Celtic already boasting a very strong cluster of options in the middle of the park, a fresh January approach from either perhaps seems unlikely.
