Rangers are reportedly looking to bring Millwall’s Mahlon Romeo to Ibrox.

Rangers won’t be winning a trophy this season, and that may mean that major planning for the summer transfer window may already be underway.
The Express recently claimed that Rangers are interested in Millwall right back Mahlon Romeo, with the 23-year-old impressing in the Championship.
The Antigua and Barbuda international could be fine cover and competition for James Tavernier, offering another speedy attacking threat from the right back position, as well as major potential.
Romeo could be a smart addition, but Rangers shouldn’t leave it there; they should also go in for Romeo’s Millwall teammate Jake Cooper.
Cooper, 24, was one of Steven Gerrard’s top targets last summer, but Millwall stood firm. The determined Gerrard offered up to £3million for Cooper before rekindling his interest in January, according to The Express.
With Millwall struggling a little this season, Rangers would be wise to try once again for Cooper this summer, offering him a huge move to Ibrox once again.

Rangers will lose loanee Joe Worrall and veteran Gareth McAuley this summer, meaning it’s the ideal time to make a move for Cooper alongside Romeo in a double swoop.
Cooper’s defensive work is impressive enough, but add in his attacking return – six goals and six assists this term – and it’s clear that he could be a major addition to the Rangers back four. If anything, after Gerrard’s continued pursuit of Cooper, it would almost be more of a surprise if Rangers didn’t move for him again this summer, whether or not Romeo really is on the radar.
