Glasgow Rangers’s Allan McGregor has been in great form since returning to Ibrox – and Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is suffering internationally.

It’s been a difficult last few days for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon – and a brilliant last few days for Rangers star Allan McGregor.
Gordon didn’t cover himself in glory during Scotland’s 4-0 friendly defeat by Belgium on Friday, with the Celtic stopper culpable for the first goal.
Scots boss Alex McLeish dropped him for Rangers keeper McGregor in last night’s 2-0 Nations League win over Albania – a decision which looks completely justified.
McGregor, who re-signed for the Gers this past summer, was brilliant at Hampden Park last night and you wonder what his Celtic rival must be thinking.
On one hand, Gordon will be delighted with his country’s three points first and foremost, but on the other he must know that the 36-year-old has added to his misery, after such a solid performance.
If McGregor had a disappointing game then it asks a big question of McLeish ahead of the next round of internationals, and the Celtic star has a chance of winning the jersey back.
But the number one shirt is definitely the Rangers star’s to lose now and, with the form he’s in at club level, he might not be vacating it for a while yet.
