Today is the Rangers AGM and that means Wilson is fielding questions from Gers fans who have a multitude of concerns.
The Daily Record have been covering the meeting live and the first question unsurprisingly surrounded recruitment.
One fan asked why Rangers appointed a Dutch manager in Giovanni van Bronckhorst but then failed to bring in a single Dutch signing.
Fans will remember that Rangers signed the likes of Van Bronckhorst, Arthur Numan, Michael Mols, Bert Konterman, Fernando Ricksen and Ronald de Boer under Dutch boss Dick Advocaat.
There was no such recruitment strategy under Van Bronckhorst but one player almost joined Rangers.
Wilson claims one Dutch player actually agreed terms to join Rangers but he ended up heading elsewhere.
“Rangers manager has final say on every player. There was one Dutch player we agreed terms with but he opted to join another club,” said Wilson.
That will leave Rangers fans wondering who Wilson is talking about and our guess is defender Danilho Doekhi.
Doekhi was coming to the end of his Vitesse Arnhem contract earlier this year and could have been signed for free.
De Gelderlander reported that Doekhi had an offer from Rangers but rejected a move to Ibrox in favour of joining Union Berlin.
The 24-year-old has started six Bundesliga games this season with Union sitting fifth in the Bundesliga.
A Rotterdam boy just like Van Bronckhorst, Doekhi fits the profile and may well be the man who decided to snub Rangers.
