Rangers took their tally of summer arrivals at Ibrox to nine today.

Rangers brought in two more new signings today as midfielder Lassana Coulibaly and striker Umar Sadiq arrived on season-long loan deals from Angers and Roma respectively.
The Gers tied up a permanent deal for Jamie Murphy following a successful loan spell from Brighton and Hove Albion, and then set about adding new faces to the squad.
Allan McGregor, Jon Flanagan, Nikola Katic, Connor Goldson, Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria have all arrived this summer, and with Coulibaly and Sadiq now on board, it’s nine summer signings for Rangers ahead of the new season.
Reports from The Scottish Sun recently claimed that Gerrard wants to end up with 11 deals this summer, so where could he look to strengthen with the final two signings?
The most obvious area would be at centre back, even after landing Goldson and Katic. Bruno Alves is set for a move to Parma and Fabio Cardoso is unwanted, meaning one more defender may be required at Ibrox.
The Daily Record report that Rangers have today offered £3million for Millwall centre back Jake Cooper, and with such considerable money on the table, a centre back would feasibly be number 10 for Gerrard.

The final signing could be a little harder to predict. Sadiq and Alfredo Morelos are the only recognised centre forwards wanted by Gerrard, given that Eduardo Herrera is primed for the exit, and another striker could be targeted.
Gerrard does have Jamie Murphy, Daniel Candeias and youngster Glenn Middleton at his disposal out wide, and whilst Scott Arfield could play there, adding another winger – potentially one on loan from Liverpool, such as Ryan Kent – could be ideal.
Rangers’ recruitment is almost done, but with potentially two more signings to come in – and the likes of Wes Foderingham, Cardoso and Herrera to move on – business isn’t completed just yet, and a central defender and a winger should be heading to Ibrox before the transfer deadline.
