Rangers ace Steven Davis pays tribute to Gareth McAuley

Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has paid tribute to Gareth McAuley after the defender announced his retirement.
McAuley announced via Twitter that he was calling time on his playing career.
The centre-back had been a free agent since being released from his Rangers contract in the summer.
Davis played alongside McAuley for Northern Ireland for over a decade, as well as a brief stint at Rangers together earlier in 2019.
McAuley, 39, signed with Rangers last year as a free agent after his release from West Bromwich Albion.
Injuries and competition for places made it difficult for him to make an impact at Ibrox.
He departed having made 10 appearances for Rangers in all competitions, including two in the Europa League.
Davis’ message shows the high esteem he was held in by the colleagues who knew him best.
