Rangers defender Jon Flanagan was not picked in Rangers win.

Jon Flanagan has been a bit part player at Rangers since joining the club in the summer.
Flanagan was signed by Steven Gerrard to provide competition at both of Rangers’ full-back positions, with a view to earning a permanent role.
It is a disappointment then that he has not been able to stake a strong claim.
Yesterday his prospects took a blow, with Rangers’ outcast Lee Wallace seemingly overtaking him in the pecking order.
Wallace has been ostracised by Rangers since his suspension at the end of last season by the club, the reasons for which have remained unclarified.
The left-back is back in first team contention and came off the bench yesterday as Rangers took on St Johnstone.

When Borna Barisic was injured in the first half, it was Wallace and not Flanagan who was chosen to replace him.
Flanagan’s versatility means he will still be useful to Rangers, but he should be concerned at falling down the pecking order.
His performances have been unconvincing and this snub could be the wake up call the former Liverpool defender needs.
