Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers are about to make a bid for Leeds United target and Manchester City midfielder James McAtee, according to The Scottish Sun.
The Scottish Sun have reported that Rangers plan to make an ‘ambitious bid’ for McAtee in the summer transfer window.
Rangers want to sign the 19-year-old midfielder on a loan deal from Premier League champions Manchester City.
The report has added that Leeds United are also keen on securing the services of McAtee.

The Scottish Sun have added that Rangers wanted to sign McAtee in January 2022, but the former Scottish Premiership champions could not strike a deal.
Rangers or Leeds United for James McAtee?
In our view, Rangers could struggle to sign James McAtee on loan from Manchester City ahead of Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
If City manager Pep Guardiola decides to send the England Under-21 international out on loan for next season, then he will surely want the midfielder to play in the Premier League and not in Scotland.
After all, the Scottish Premiership is not at the level of the Premier League.
Now, Leeds are interested in McAtee, and we think that City would find it better for the development of the youngster if he moved to Elland Road instead of to Ibrox and play for Rangers.
