Rangers beat Dundee 4-0 in the Scottish Cup this afternoon.
Rangers are into the semi-final of the Scottish Cup after a superb 4-0 win over Premiership side Dundee at Ibrox earlier this afternoon.
The Gers saw off Kilmarnock in the last round, and have beaten another Scottish Premiership outfit after a convincing performance from Mark Warburton’s men today.
Remarkably, Rangers took the lead after just 13 seconds as Harry Forrester – who scored goals against St. Mirren and Raith Rovers over the last week – made it three in seven days by driving home early on.
Jason Holt made it 2-0 shortly after half time with a header, before Andy Halliday added a third with only 54 minutes on the clock – and Warburton’s side didn’t stop there.
Left back Lee Wallace swooped to make it 4-0 in the dying moments, and that’s how it finished as Rangers eased into the next round.
Now into the semi-finals, Rangers will be dreaming of picking up major silverware this season, to go alongside their imminent Scottish Championship title win.
A meeting with Old Firm rivals Celtic may be a possibility, but the Bhoys must first beat Morton on Sunday – and Gers fans will simply be celebrating a superb victory from their side this afternoon.
