Teenage Rangers talent Dapo Mebude is continuing to mark himself out as a bright prospect for the future.

Mebude has been in prolific form for Rangers under-17 side this season, netting five goals in one match back in September.

The 16-year-old has earned a call up into Rangers’ under-20 team, and has not disappointed.

Last night he netted in a 5-2 victory over Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup as Rangers blitzed the opposition in injury time after a close 90 minutes.

Mebude signed a contract with the Gers earlier this year and is arguably their brightest academy prospect.

He is a Scotland youth international and his emergence can help ease the pain of losing his peer, Billy Gilmour.

Rangers have no need to rush his development, and he needs to get more exposure to under-20s football over the coming months, but the club should be very excited about his progress so far.
