Arsenal star showed he may be adding a new string to his bow.

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey spoke ahead of the Community Shield of his determination to improve on last season, a campaign which was the best of his career so far.

The Welshman showed an eye for goal, which proved crucial in the FA Cup Final, and was a prolific tackler and passer for the Gunners.

Against Manchester City at the weekend he displayed further evidence he can carry on where he left off, with a goal and assist in the 3-0 victory.

As well as touching the ball 81 times, more than any other Gunner, and making more passes (58) there was another string to his bow which emerged.

Ramsey made five successful dribbling attempts at Wembley, a figure he matched only once last season.

The Welshman’s willingness to begin the season taking people on, speaks volumes about his confidence at present.

Ramsey is being billed as one of the best all-round midfielders in the league, and Sunday was an early sign he intends to deliver on the hype.

If he can push forward with greater regularity and help the Gunners attack opposition, the goal tally of himself and his teammates is only likely to increase.
