Aaron Ramsdale has responded when asked who Arsenal’s fastest player is.

The Gunners have a number of absolutely frightening footballers when it comes to pace, like Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba to name but a few.

But according to Ramsdale, Arsenal’s quickest player might be someone who Mikel Arteta has already loaned out.

Speaking to BT Sport, the former Sheffield United goalkeeper revealed that it was between Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Kieran Tierney.

He said to BT Sport: “I would go KT or Ainsley, Ainsley Maitland-Niles.”

Maitland-Niles, however, will not eligible due to the fact that Arsenal is his parent club.

The Hale End academy player has struggled in recent years, including a mixed spell at Roma on loan last season.

He played a major role in Arsenal winning the FA Cup under Arteta a little over two years ago, operating as a left wing-back.

But for whatever reason, the Spanish manager has gone off him in a massive way since then and you have to say, Maitland-Niles hasn’t responded to that very well.

The versatile, utility player has only managed to start two Premier League games under Ralph Hassenhuttl since joining the South-Coast outfit.
