Pete O’Rourke has suggested on The Football Terrace that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could have to pay £40 million for Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Well-known and well-respected journalist O’Rourke has said that he has heard that United are holding out for £40 million.
O’Rourke, who has over 100,000 followers on Twitter, believes that Arsenal will complete a deal for the 23-year-old goalkeeper.

We already knew that Arsenal are interested in Ramsdale, but the Blades’ new asking price of £40 million is fresh news.
The Gunners are looking for a new goalkeeper, and the 23-year-old Blades star is a player that manager Mikel Arteta wants.
Sky Sports reported last month that Arsenal have had two bids for Ramsdale turned down by United and are planning to make a third offer.
TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook said this week that the English goalkeeper is keen on a move to Arsenal this summer.
The Guardian reported last month that United, who will play in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League, want £30 million including add-ons for Ramsdale.
Now, it seems that the Blades have suddenly increased their asking price by £10 million to £40 million.
Bernd Leno is the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal, and it is hard to see the Gunners cough up £40 million to sign another goalkeeper, especially one who is likely to be a second choice for now.
