Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has raised fresh questions about his future after selling three Los Angeles homes worth a combined $21.3 million.

The timing gives the move more weight than a routine property reshuffle, because it comes only months after another major contract decision in Los Angeles.

Stafford remains tied to the Rams, but selling multiple homes at once adds a different kind of intrigue around a 38-year-old MVP quarterback.

Matthew Stafford turns Hidden Hills sale into Los Angeles Rams offseason intrigue

Realtor.com reports that Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, sold three Hidden Hills properties within a matter of hours for $21.3 million.

“Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has scored quite the real estate touchdown, selling off three expansive homes in the tony L.A. neighborhood of Hidden Hills within a matter of hours for a total of $21.3 million,” the report revealed.

It added, “The first two properties in Stafford’s stacked sale were part of an expansive compound that the 2025 NFL MVP and his wife, Kelly Stafford, purchased from rapper Drake for a total of $11 million in 2022.

“The third is a sprawling red-brick mansion that the duo picked up for $10.5 million that same year.”

The sales do not prove a football move is coming, especially with another large Los Angeles home reportedly still part of the family’s plans.

They do, however, reduce a property footprint that once looked like the foundation of a long-term Hidden Hills setup.

Matthew Stafford’s contract keeps Los Angeles Rams question alive

The football context makes the real-estate move harder to ignore, even if it should not be treated as a final answer on Stafford’s future.

Stafford signed a one-year extension worth a reported $55 million, with incentives that could push the deal higher.

The agreement keeps him aligned with the Rams, but it does not remove every question about how long he plans to keep playing in Los Angeles. At 38, Stafford is coming off an MVP season rather than a decline year, which changes the tone of the conversation.

He threw for 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns in 2025, then landed a deal that reflected his value rather than a farewell discount. The Rams still have every reason to trust him for 2026, and the home sales may simply reflect a family consolidating property after several expensive purchases.

The intrigue comes from the combination of age, contract structure and timing, because a quarterback late in his career selling three homes at once will always invite questions about what comes next.
