Eliaquim Mangala’s injury could make Ramiro Funes-Mori one of Everton’s most important players for the remainder of the season.

Funes-Mori has not played for Everton at all this term, due to injury, but he is now under pressure to come back to form quickly.

The Argentine centre-back has been playing for the Toffees’ development side, as he looks to regain match sharpness.

And Everton may now need him to step into their first team sooner rather than later.

Mangala is now set to miss the rest of the season with injury, which gives Funes-Mori a clear route into Sam Allardyce’s starting line-up.
