Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori has told the club’s official website that he is feeling better in every aspect under new manager Ronald Koeman.
The Dutchman took charge at Goodison Park this summer following the sacking of Roberto Martinez before the end of last season.
He has been brought in to turn around the Blues fortunes after two disappointing 11th placed finishes under Martinez in the last two seasons.
One of the principal areas he has had to look at improving is the squad’s fitness, with him complaining they were only 70% ready at the beginning of the season because of their former manager.

And Mori says he is feeling the effects personally as he feels better physically and technically already.
“I am feeling better physically, technically and in every aspect,” he told the club’s official website.
“We have had tough games but, overall, we have started well with a draw against Tottenham and then a few wins and hopefully, we can get more good results after the international break.”

The comments from Mori will come as good news for Everton fans as it has certainly been noticeable in their first three games that fitness is an issue.
However, that is likely to improve under Koeman the longer he has to work with them and it did appear to be less of a problem in the win over Stoke than it was against Tottenham on the opening day.
When it does reach a standard he is happy with, it will be interesting to see if it results in a noticeable improvement in their performances.
