Newcastle United defeated Brentford 3-1 at St. James’ Park.

Former player Peter Ramage has taken to social media site Twitter in order to praise Newcastle United’s win over Brentford and the goalscoring exploits of forward Dwight Gayle.
The Magpies made it three wins in a row as goals from Ciaran Clark and Dwight Gayle secured all three points over a decent Brentford side who will be challenging for a top-six spot this term.
For Newcastle the ambition is greater, and after a rocky start they now appear to be hitting their groove and threatening to run away with Norwich City at the top of the Championship table.

Rafa Benitez’s men were dominant against Brentford, and they made their chances count as Gayle once again proved exactly why the Tyneisde club opted to bring him in during the summer.
Taking to Twitter, Ramage praised Newcastle’s victory and in the same message wrote to Brighton and Hove Albion striker Glenn Murray to remind him how Gayle is now running away from him in terms of goals.
Gayle has nine Championship goals already in Newcastle colours, three more than Brighton’s Murray.
The former Crystal Palace striker has all the attributes needed to succeed at Championship level, and Newcastle should do all they can to play to the player’s strengths.
The Magpies’ next match is against Barnsley at Oakwell in midweek, before facing Ipswich Town at home next weekend.
