Ralph Hasenhuttl has described Leeds United’s pitch as ‘difficult’ in the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Southampton boss saw his side lose 3-0 to Leeds last night, as they put in a disappointing display.
Hasenhuttl was generally very complimentary towards Leeds after the match.
But he did admit that the pitch caused some complications for his side as they weren’t used to it.
“It was difficult for both teams,” said the Saints boss.
“Maybe they are a little bit more used to it, they know they have to flick it more. It’s hard to turn on this pitch but they adapted better and they deserved to win.”
Leeds’ players have become more accustomed with the Elland Road surface, as they have now played on it a handful of times.

There was hope that the pitch was be more stable once it had settled in, but it does not seem that will be the case now.
Leeds, instead, will have to try and use the pitch to their advantage – as they will be more familiar with it than their opponents.
Leeds’ win over Southampton has pushed them into the top half of the Premier League table.
