Southampton could have some of their key players back in time for Saturday’s game against Everton.
Southampton boss Ralph Hsenhüttl spoke to reporters yesterday, and provided a big injury boost for his side, with the news that three key players are closing in on a return to action, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Saints are currently in whole world of trouble, and they sit just one point clear of the drop zone.
They have improved drastically since Hasenhüttl took over last month, however, and the Southampton faithful will be confident in their side’s chances of survival.
Having some of their key player back and available for selection will be crucial to the Saints’ hopes of moving away from the bottom three, however, and Hasenhüttl told reporters how Ryan Bertrand, Mario Lemina and Danny Ings could all be back in time for Saturday’s clash with Everton at St Mary’s, as quoted by the club’s official website:
”Injured players are coming back piece by piece. Bertrand is training with the team, Ings will hopefully return to training tomorrow and Lemina was in the group today.
All three players are undoubtedly key to Southampton, and Hasenhüttl’s side will be a much stronger proposition with them part of it.
Ings offers something extra through the middle, what with his unselfish runs and incredible work-rate. Lemina, meanwhile provides that little bit of quality in possession in the middle of the park, whilst Bertrand’s pace and stamina down the left hand flank is always a real plus for the Saints.
