Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly interested in Timo Werner.

Head coach Ralf Rangnick of Leipzig holds a speech during the RB Leipzig Fanfest at Festwiese on May 26, 2019 in Leipzig, Germany.

RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick has suggested to Kicker that Timo Werner should stay at the club and not join Liverpool or Bayern Munich.

According to The Mirror, German giants Bayern and Premier League outfit Liverpool are interested in signing Werner from Leipzig in the summer transfer window.

Rangnick told Kicker, as translated by Goal.com: “My opinion is that Timo fits best here, also in terms of style of play.

“If I were his advisor or father, I would clearly advise him to stay and extend his contract. When a really big club comes in for him and he wants to leave, he can still do that.”

Good signing for Liverpool?

Liverpool have a very good attacking unit, but Werner would be a good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Germany international is young and dynamic, and the 23-year-old would be an asset at Liverpool.
