The striker seems to be a perfect fit for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ style of play.

Wolves hitman Raúl Jiménez spoke to reporters after his side’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, and shared what he was told about Wolverhampton before joining the club from Benfica on a season-long loan in the summer, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 27-year-old has made a decent start to life at Molineux, scoring five goals in 17 Premier League appearances thus far, and he has played a key role in his side’s rise to seventh place in the table.

The Mexican seems to be well built for the robust nature of England’s top flight, and Wolves fans will surely be keen to see him signed up permanently in the summer.

Jiménez spoke to reporters on Saturday, and shared how he was told that it would be freezing cold in the Black Country in the winter, but it didn’t put him off, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“It’s too cold, but I want to win all the games like this. It doesn’t matter the weather if we can keep working like this. I heard about the weather a lot and knew it would be cold here in Wolverhampton, many times it goes into minus zero degrees, but we can cope. I hope that we can continue to win all the games and then it doesn’t matter.”

Next up for Wolves is home game against Liverpool on Friday night, and Jiménez will be hoping to fire his side to their fourth consecutive league win.

And if the 27-year-old continues his fine form, Nuno Espirito Santo will surely make his loan deal a permanent one at the end of the season.
