The Dutch winger is now helping Huddersfield Town in a promotion fight.

It was an exciting time to be a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan in the summer. A new takeover brought with it renewed hope of a potential promotion tilt. The club signed some impressive sounding names and missed out on eye-catching targets such as Brazilian internationals Luisao and Anderson Talisca.
But they also let players go, including one they will now likely wish they hadn’t.
Rajiv van la Parra never quite settled at the Molineux after arriving from Heerenveen on a free transfer in the summer of 2014.
He spent time on loan at Brighton and Huddersfield, joining the latter permanently in the summer.

He has since gone on to prove his worth at this level. The Dutchman has played 35 times for the Terriers this season, scoring two goals. His performances have played a major role in the club’s surprising promotion push this season.
Meanwhile Wolves have been inconsistent and it was only recently that they have looked safe from the drop from the Championship into League One.
Van la Parra might have made a considerable difference, had Wolves decided to keep him on this summer.
