Talksport host Jim White claims he has been assured by Romelu Lukaku’s agent that the striker will sign a new contract with Everton.
Mino Raiola revealed in December the deal was ’90-to-99.9 per cent done’, although there has been no official announcement as yet.

Some newspapers reported on Thursday that talks between Lukaku and Everton had stalled, but according to White, the Belgian will put pen to paper.

“There are no problems with the club, there are no problems with the player. He will sign,” Raiola is said to have told the Talksport host.
Lukaku scored four goals in Everton’s 6-3 win against Bournemouth on Saturday, taking his tally to 17 in 25 appearances this term.

The 23-year-old is now only eight goals shy of last season’s haul, and it is that sort of consistency in front of goal which is said to have caught the eye of a number of top sides, such as Manchester United and Chelsea.

Lukaku still has two-and-a-half years to run on his existing contract, although a renewal would put Everton in a stronger position to negotiate should the pair step up their interest.
