The Manchester City man is obviously a big fan of the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling admitted that he voted for Harry Kane ahead of Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk for the PFA Player of the Year award, as quoted by Goal.
It is expected that the race for the POTY award will be between Sterling and Van Dijk, especially considering the fact that the Spurs hitman is currently out injured.
Kane has really struggled with injuries this season, but he has still managed to bag 24 goals in 39 games in all competitions for Tottenham.
It is unlikely that the 25-year-old will play again this season, so it really would be a shock to see him win the POTY award.
When speaking to reporters, Sterling explained why he voted for the Tottenham star, however, highlighting the England international’s work ethic as something that has really impressed him, as quoted by Goal:

“I voted for Harry Kane. My vote for him is because he scores so many goals every year, he does so much for the team, gives so much for his team. There was a lot of talk about Virgil van Dijk. I knew he would have a lot of the votes, so I looked at someone I thought being around him in the national team, how he puts in his work, his work ethic, how he looks after himself.”
Sterling and Van Dijk are the two clear frontrunners to win the Player of the Year award, and much will depend on which team wins the Premier League title.
And despite the fact that Kane got Sterling’s vote, the Tottenham man surprisingly isn’t even on the six-man shortlist to win the prestigious award.
