The Estonia international signed for the Reds yesterday.
Estonia’s Ragnar Klavan
Liverpool new boy Ragnar Klavan has spoken of his excitement after completing his switch to Anfield, in an interview with the club’s official website.
The 30-year old arrives on a long-term contract from Bundesliga side FC Augsburg for around £4.2 million – according to BBC Sport – and becomes Jurgen Klopp’s fifth signing of the summer.
“I’m really honoured to be part of this amazing club, this amazing team,” said Klavan.

“It’s hard to put it into words, because it’s been a dream of mine for 22 years to come to the Premier League and be a part of this amazing club, Liverpool.
“The Premier League is the most attractive league in the world and you always have amazing players here. This is the home of football,” he added.
While Klavan isn’t exactly a high-profile figure, he does have some pedigree, appearing 125 times for Augsburg since 2012 and earning 112 caps for Estonia.

The transfer of Martin Skrtel to Fenerbahce left a void in the Reds backline and Klavan arrives as a like-for-like replacement.
The powerful defender will be expected to provide competition for the likes of Mamadou Sakho, Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren and will ensure Klopp has adequate cover should any injuries or suspensions arise.
Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp
Next season will be the real test of Klopp’s credentials now that he has had time to mould a squad of his own liking and there will likely be further comings and goings over the next few weeks.
Joe Allen looks set to be the next departure, with Stoke offering £14 million according to the Mirror, while Georginio Wijnaldum could be on the way in as talks progress, as reported by the Telegraph.
