Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want Rafinha from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

Rafinha Alcantara of FC Internazionale looks on during the serie A match between Atalanta BC and FC Internazionale at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia on April 14, 2018 in Bergamo, Italy.

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has been quoted as saying by Gianlucadimarzio.com that he is not going back to Inter Milan, and this will encourage Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter, having joined the Italian club on loan from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Gianlucadimarzio.com quotes Rafinha as saying: “I was really convinced that because of the qualification in Champions League I could have stayed but it didn’t happen.

“It’s always about business, some times you can’t fulfill your will in football. I’m currently a Barcelona player: I’m not back yet but I’ll be there at the team retreat the 11 of July, then we’ll see.”

Good signing

It seems that Rafinha wanted to stay at Inter next season, but the Barcelona midfielder would still be a good signing for Tottenham.

With the experience of playing in La Liga, Serie A and the Champions League and of playing alongside quality footballers, the Brazil international would be a good option to have on the Spurs’ substitutes’ bench.

Rafinha has won La Liga twice with Barcelona and won the Champions League with the Spanish giants in 2015.
